Acronym Venture Capital Fund Past Performance
While past returns do not guarantee future performance, we thought it would be interesting to highlight the performance of the Acronym Venture Capital team’s last fund, Rubicon Ventures Fund 2 (“RV2”). RV2 is now more than 5 years old, making it mature enough to show the longevity and survivorship of the underlying portfolio companies.
We also looked at the performance of RV2 vs a broader benchmark of Venture Capital funds and the performance of RV2 is in the upper quartile and, in fact, is almost in the top 5% for 2016 funds. Even when compared to funds from other years, RV2’s performance is in the top Quartile vs every other fund in the study going back to 1996.

* TVPI stands for Total Value to Paid-In Capital. Simplified, for an investor it reflects the value, both realized and unrealized, of their current investment vs how much they originally invested. Think of it like a multiple of invested capital but where at portfolio hasn’t fully liquidated yet.
